About me

I am the daughter of Russian immigrants that have moved to New York when I was 10 years of age. I found poetry was one of many ways that I could express my innermost thoughts that often built up like a hurricane within me. This happened quite often as I started to write when I was 15. Between then and now (26) I have found playwriting, drawing, painting, sculpture, photography and sewing among my mediums of expression. I consider myself without a medium precisely because in the attempt to become the artist of any medium I was desperately seeking my parents approval of me. They in turn felt art, poetry, fashion design ( my first inspiration) were a a lost cause and were all too happy for me to go to a business school and complete a Finance major...which I did along with a minor in English :) I have never stopped searching for my medium of expression but do dare say for that to happen I must stop searching for my parents approval.
